Vineyard Kids Summer Volunteers Needed

Everyone is invited to serve in our kids program for a Sunday or two while our teachers are on summer break. Toddlers will spend most Sundays outside in our playground area, and our elementary kids have lego-themed lessons to follow. Look for sign-up sheets in the lobby, and please be sure to fill out a background check form before you leave. (Blue forms are for those who are brand new to helping with the children’s ministry, and the white forms are for returning volunteers).

Church Business Meeting - Today, June 23rd

Join church staff and board members after church in the café for an update on church finances. We'll review progress and changes to the annual budget, mortgage, and renters. If you have specific topics you'd like to hear about or questions in mind, let Pastor Donnell know.

Vineyard Kids Leadership Transitions

Kaitie Giza, who has been a faithful leader of our Children's Ministry for several years, will be embarking on a new chapter in her life as she gets married and relocates later this summer. Kaitie has been a cherished part of our church since 2019 and joined our staff in October 2021 to help Pastor Marissa oversee and run the Children's Ministry. Kaitie's care, creativity, and dedication have left an indelible mark on our community. While we will miss her presence, we are overjoyed for her and wish her all the best in this new journey.

Please join us in welcoming Barb Hillaker, who will be stepping into the role of Children's Ministry Director. We are confident that Barb will continue to build on the strong foundation that Kaitie has established.

Vineyard Clothing Exchange - Continuing through June

Please feel free to see if you and/or your family could use any of the clean, gently used clothing items (shoes and all), that our congregants have donated for both children and adult members of the Vineyard family. Tables are set up down the long hallway adjacent to our parking lot. Please see Liz Ludwig-Borycz if you have any questions.

All Church Beach Party - Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for great fellowship and food at our beach party! It was wonderful to celebrate summer with one another as a church family, and much appreciation to all who contributed to make our party successful and fun. Thank you to Constance Dunham as well for coordinating this annual event for our Vineyard community.

Elementary Kids Meet Up - Next date coming soon!

We’ll meet in the café after church for lunch, a fun group project, and conversation about faith and life. Talk to Rafael & LaVon Mejia to learn more (203) 545-9981.

VineyardUSA Resource - We Are Vineyard Podcast

Tim Kim - Senior Pastor Evanston Vineyard

In this episode of We Are Vineyard, Jay and Ted Kim talk about first encounters with the Holy Spirit and the slow, formational work that happens between mountaintop experiences, as well as the pastoring that needs to happen during these gaps. They also discuss leadership transitions and the idea of “rhyming” with the past, embodying the stories and history while stepping forward into what God is doing in the present time.

Giving

If you think of Vineyard as your church home, giving regularly is a way to be a part of the work we’re doing in and outside of our church. We love that we get to play a part in the generosity God extends to others through our benevolence fund, Easter giveaway, Sunday celebrations, ministry of presence, and more. You made it happen through your prayers, service, and financial gifts!

Homeless Ministry Donations Needed!
